Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has introduced VAT registration of transport and courier business in Nepal from fiscal year 2080/81.

Inspite of being service nature business, transport and courier business should be compulsory registered in VAT only if it crosses the turnover of fifty lakhs rupees i last twelve months.
